Quick Update: NYSHIP & Massage Therapy Coverage

AMTA-NY is aware of and monitoring the ongoing contract negotiations between the various labor unions and New York State, and will provide updates once those collective bargaining agreements are both final and public. Tentative agreements are subject to ratification by the union memberships. AMTA believes any reductions to massage therapy benefits are a disservice to the thousands of public employees who rely on massage therapy as part of a comprehensive healthcare plan, and continues to offer our support to efforts to maintain benefits under NYSHIP.
